After two years, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission
(CPSC) declared that the Peloton Tread Plus is now eligible for a free repair
A back safety guard that stops people, animals, and items from being pulled under the machine is the solution
Users can sign up for fixes now, though Peloton claims to offer the fix for free later this year.
After several reports of injuries and, in one case, the death of a child, the Tread Plus was first recalled.
The device had a raised deck and a slatted belt that were designed to improve traction
That combination, meanwhile, led to a design defect that made it simpler to be pulled.
